Loretta Pete Lambert

Loretta. Pete Lambert is a mother, aunt, grandmother and wife. She is from the Little Pine Cree Nation. Loretta’s education includes degrees in education and a Juris Doctor in Law. She is currently a practicing lawyer and has taught elementary, secondary and post secondary school. She possesses Professional Teaching Certificates from the provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. Loretta is a proven successful education administrator. She managed and coordinated the creation of the website http://www.creedictionary.com, archiving the Cree Language based on two dictionaries: one from Dr. Arok Wolvengrey, First Nations University of Canada and from Dr. Earle Waugh, University of Alberta. Loretta was an elected Board Member with the Greater Catholic School Division and an appointed Board Member of the Many Nations Cooperative Board. Her experience on these boards shows proven success in governance and leadership.

Viji – Financial and Administrative Assistant

Viji Kalagnanam is the Financial and Administrative Assistant at LJ Pete Law Firm. She graduated from Saskatoon Business College with a Diploma in Accounting with Honour’s in 2019. She also had a bachelor’s in education and a Master’s in Environment and Sustainability. She found her passion in the accounting field and thus works in the field of accounting. She has significant experience working with Indigenous Peoples through her employment at Saskatchewan Polytechnic (SP), the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) and now working with L J Pete Lambert Law (LJPLL). As an administrative assistant at SP and a program/teaching assistant with the Indigenous Peoples Resource Management program at U of S, she enabled students in successfully completing their education by providing the required supports. As the financial and administrative assistant at LJPLL, she has interacted with Indigenous clients via the Day School Class Action claims.
